serial proxy

i tried a lot dowloading maps with serial proxy but no maps. (Cant download map :I/O operation timeout).im using intenet conection with automated obtain IP and DSN so i think that i dont have Http proxy.
(my phone: SAMSUNG E250 and NOKIA 6270)

i dont have wap because it cost a lot.

please can you upload a navigami version with pre-installed maps.

I have also tried a lot to download maps so that I can solve ccna exam questions required for mcse exam to get mcts certification but can't succeed till now and now thinking to get rid of it.

serial proxy

hi, navigami with preinstalled maps is not possible. there is a lot of data (gigabytes) and there would be thousands of versions needed.
you can use the serial proxy utility. it is not a http proxy. it is a bluetooth or serial cable proxy and requests from your mobile phone are sended over bluetooth to your pc and internet. so you do not need any wap or gprs connection and do not have to pay anything.

What is the reason that I can’t get maps….here is all:

1. Activate BT of the phone
2. Make a serial connection (Bluetooth) on COM6 (this port is ok when I use softick PPP and other prog)
3. Run navigami (phone)
4. Run serial proxy.
5. Select Com6 and press Start and I get :
Stable Library
==========================
Native lib Version = RXTX-
Java lib Version = RXTX-
Active: 0 Total: 0
Listening on port //./COM6
Active: 0 Total: 0

6. Settings >>> Network >>> Proxy “My BT name”
Enable
Http Enable (both selected)
7. Manage Maps >>> Download map and I get “Can’t load map: I/O operation timeout”

I have to select (serial proxy) com5 after making a serial conection (widcomm) Com6 as com5 is automated conection.

two serial ports

great! :o) there are two serial ports for bluetooth. first is in (from mobile to pc) and the second is out (from pc to bt gps receiver).

Hi , I am using nokia 6111

Hi , I am using nokia 6111 and I followed the above instruction and I get that

"Can’t load map: I/O operation timeout”

please help

I run the blue tooth and it activate serial port service com4 and com5

then I run that comproxy.jar and set it as com5

after that I enable both

Settings >>> Network >>> Proxy “My BT name”
Enable
Http Enable (both selected)

and I when I navigate to the manage map download it display "Can’t load map: I/O operation timeout”

please help
