Sanyo 7050

I've installed the Navigami software and it seemed to install without any problems. However, on initial loading of the program it hangs at either 90%-95%. Never gets any further, so i'm not sure what the program is waiting on. Does it take a while for the GPS to lock in?

Under options I set the program to always allow connection to whatever it needed. Is anyone able to use this program on the Sanyo 7050 yet?

I'm sorry, but I don't know anyone who has this mobile phone. Gps connection must be configured first in the app.

Well, it actually let me

Well, it actually let me enter the program now. However, when I enable the Internal GPS it gives me an error:

"Uncaught Exception or Error occurred during execution of navigami"

Seeing as you don't have a Sanyo 7050 available, I doubt you'll be able to offer any assistance, but if anyone has any ideas on what things i should check on my phone, it'd be appreciated. Thanks,

other apps

have you tried other java gps apps? amazegps, mgmaps, nav4all, trekbuddy? are they working?

Tried MGMaps, that works

Tried MGMaps, that works okay, it's a bit slow as far as downloading Tiles though. It does detect and use the Internal GPS fine.

Amazegps, Nav4all and Trekbuddy I have not yet tried. I don't believe Amazegps will work on my phone though, as they don't have a compatible version. I'll try the others and give an update.

Nope, nuthin but MGMaps

Nope, nuthin but MGMaps works. I Guess MGMaps is the only group to have come up with a solution for the way Sanyo/Sprint allows access to it's Internal GPS. It stinks that none of the other programs work for this phone, since it's got Autonomous GPS built in.

Either way, keep up the good work on the Program. It's quite an undertaking to make a program work on so many devices. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help get it working for the Sanyo 7050. If you get it working on the Sanyo 7050, I promise that i'll donate at least $35, maybe more depending on the timing-
