google maps?, serialproxy and navigation

Hello all, a great app you guys have here!

My question, i ahve a .map file of some google maps i want to download. Is there anyway i can download these maps and transfer them to my phone?

Also, where is this serialproxy application found? I have tried google and found nothing.

Finally, if i wanted a route to be calculated does the phone take car of this itself, or does it have to contact a server and download the directinos from there? In other words, does soley the phone generate the route all by itself, and is it able to do recalculations?

it is not allowed to use google maps not using google maps api in third party applications. only google maps j2me client can do this. http://maps.google.com/gmm
serial proxy is my own tool and can by used for navigamy only. you can find it here: http://www.navigami.com/node/8

I'm sorry, byt there is no route calculating in navigami. probably later? I don't know any j2me app which can do this offline. it is possible on server, but navigamy uses free public maps and not commercial maps from navteq or teleatlas. these cost a lot.
