How to download maps
Hi.
I don`t get it.
I have downloaded the navigami software to my phone, Nokia n80.
But this software does nothing else than showing a position for my gps (Holux GPSlim 236).
So how do I download the maps?

When I try and get the application to search for a bluetooth device, it starts searching, and does appear to make contact with my GPS, but the application just hangs with the Searching progress bar still scrolling.

I'm using v3xx i've got serial port link running on bloetooth and every thing..but there is no download map in the menu...version is 1.08 any solution? I get map and manage maps. If i enter manage maps it showsn the blank screen because of no maps ifi push map the same.

I have installed this app on my Nokia 2680 Slide and after reading
Main Menu > Setting > Network Settings > Http (tick it) and go to Main Menu > Maps > Manage Maps > Download Map. It downloads your current position map tile according to your current zoom level. You may use Autoload On/Off future also at the same menu. If this command is On, map tiles are automatically downloadings when you navigate by fire button.
Finally downloaded maps via BT.
I am using Globalsat BT 332 rcvr,you have remember to get your
position before trying to download map so the system knows where
your at in order to download your part of the world.
Don't forget to save your position as a landmark.
After downloading maps to proper zoom level I have to turn the
2680 off in order to reboot and access BT 332 again.

can i get the maps for free on the internet (via my computer then put them on my sony ericsson k800i via usb)?
if so please tell me where as i dont use my mobil and i cant afford a satnav so i thought i would try and get it from here many thanks gav587

Downloading Maps?
I am attempting to use Navigami on my LG Vu cu920. I am attempting to use it in conjunction with an Earthmate GPS BT-20. So far it appears to be working, however, I would like some maps. I am too new to computers and phones to be able to take in what people are saying. I have not subscribed to the data stream. Of course, if I could afford the data stream, I might not be considering navigami.
Is it possible to download maps to my computer and then to my LG Vu. I have bluetooth and that is how I installed Navigami. It would be helpful if someone could post (admin?) straight forward directions. Step by step.
I am excited to have found this program and look forward to trying it out further. In fact, I am heading out now to test what I am able to use, speed monitoring, direction, etc.

open the Manage Maps Screen and there is a command Download Map? isn't it?

Hi Halvard,
If you have an internet access from your phone, make sure it's enabled. Then Start navigami, enable the programme internet access by Main Menu > Setting > Network Settings > Http (tick it) and go to Main Menu > Maps > Manage Maps > Download Map. It downloads your current position map tile according to your current zoom level. You may use Autoload On/Off future also at the same menu. If this command is On, map tiles are automatically downloadings when you navigate by fire button.
If you don't have internet access from your phone or you may like to avoid to pay expensive mobile internet access, then you can assign your internet accessible computer as your internet proxy. Just download the file rxtxSerial.dll to your PC and follow the instructions that written in Download > Serial Proxy page of this web site.
Last thing is make sure Show Map is enabled from the Main Menu > Settings > Maps .

- start "java -jar serialproxy.jar" or doubleclick on the jar file, where do we run this program in computer?? command prompt or other such what?? and what should i type in "serialproxy.jar or java.jar or something else"?? please tell me.
