How can I protect my locations if re-installing?

I get the same error on my Motorola Vx3 Razor. But it used to work fine. I now have many important locations saved and I don't want to lose them. Will I lose my Locations if I re-install the application? Can I save any particular file that contains the locations before I re-instal?

saved data will remain if you don't delete the app

it works now

I have never used it before.
But it works now. After I have deleted some other java programs.
