Memory

Hi, i've downloaded few maps but at some point i've got an error telling io error can't load maps: null or something like that ..so i go to settings system info and found:

memory 51% of 2.0MB
LandMark Store: 3 (888B)
Track Store: 2(3,1kB)
Map Store: 60 (139kB)
Configuration: 47 (3,7kB)
Available: 6.0kB

as i can see problem is with available (memory????)
but why this is diffrent with first line: memory 51% ?
Is any way to use all memory?
phone is nokia 6233

Can't wait to see progress of your work.

similar problems on SXG75

Hi

I think the Problem described by luzik is not an Nokia-specific one.
My good old Siemens SXG75 provides me gigantic 29kB for maps, its not even sufficient to load a world-view.

Rest of the app works fine.

good work

java storage

java memory and storage space is very limited on some phones. and filesystem usage is the best way. I'm looking for the best solution.

maps

try to delete some maps or all maps using "clear mapstore". there is very little space to save data ( Available: 6.0kB )
thats nokia's implementation of java. you have 2 MB for the app although your phone has more memory free. you can save some kBs although your memory card is 512MB large ;o(

i don't want to delete maps

i don't want to delete maps because there is no maps almost at all ..only small piece of my city :(

"you can save some kBs although your memory card is 512MB large ;o("

no ..my card is 1GB ..how i can save some kBs? or where i can read about this :)
where configuration and all maps are stored? ..in application? ..you mean at end of jar file or something like that ?
in documentation i found

"Home » Documentation » Main Menu » Settings >> Files
File System settings. Folder navigami will be created."

but i don't have any navigami dir on card nor phone memory

navigami uses RMS (record

navigami uses RMS (record store) for saving data and not file system. and maps are saved there in current version. in later versions I try to use the filesystem.

file system is used for exporting. in curren version you can export tracks to gpx.

thx

thx for answers
..may the force be with you and navigami :)
