navigami

I own a SE K310. this phone has infra red and USB cable for connection to PC. I have no problem installing Navigami jar file and running it on my phone. The problem is how to download the maps through serial proxy.

Serial proxy is for running on PC and it allows the phone to connect to internet through PC for map download purpose.

The question is :
Serial proxy is said to work with serial cable or Bluetooth. The phone's infra red is a serial communication so is it supported by serial proxy?
NOTE: My phone when connected to PC using IR link an icon on the taskbar is available for file transfer and the phone is detected as Standard Modem over IR link assigned with COM5.
