Nokia 6280 Map downloading wont work
I read the installation Instruction from this website, but I'm not able to download the map via my Computer, and via GPRS is not possible because my contract with the provider has no gprs-option :(
Ok the main Problem:
Im connecting via Bluetooth to my mobilephone, I startet comproxy.jar(rxtxSerial.dll is in the same directory) and the program starts up with a nice list of com-ports, i tooked com port 41, because that was the latest comport for bluetooth I used before, i dont know what i have to write in Http proxy and port below, so i leaved it blank. Now my Bluetooth stick is blinking (sign for connected to device).
After that i launched navigami.jar on my phone, i went to the network menue and tried bith settings, bluetooth and serial port. i wrote the port 41 in the comport settings, then i went to the menue where i could download the map. I ALWAYS get the Error-message I/O Operation Timeout.

Finally, and after a long
Finally, and after a long time I found the solution with a new Bluetooth dongle, now it works pretty fine :) I'll post a short german introduction:
1.) Ladet euch das Comproxy-tool samt der DLL auf den Desktop
2.) Ein Doppelklick auf das Java-Archiv sollte das Comproxy Tool starten, wenn nicht, musst du die Java Runtime Engine von Java.com runterladen
3.) Steckt euren Bluetooth Dongle in den USB Anschluss, und versucht, mittels der Software eine Verbindung als seriellen Anschluss herzustellen. Ihr kriegt dann einen COM-Port angezeigt, zb COM40.
4.) Nun geht auf das COM-PRoxy tool und probiert alle Ports bis auf den (im Beispiel 40) Port aus.
5.) Wenn ihr keine Fehlermeldung mit "Null" bekommen habt, dann habt ihr den Richtigen Port
6.) Nun solltet ihr die Maps laden können, vorraussetzung ist allerdings, dass das Handy zum PC gekoppelt ist und ihr unter den Verbindungseinstellungen beim Navigami Bluetooth als seriellen Port habt.
Mit den Navigationstasten(oder 2,4,6,8) könnt ihr im Manage Map-Menüpunkt nun über die Weltkarte sliden, wenn nicht, einfach 5 drücken. Dann mit der Menü-Taste Download Map auswählen. Mit 5 wieder in den ZOOM Modus wechseln und den gewünschten Bereich ranzoomen, dann wieder Download Map auswählen. Teile der Karte, die ihr noch nicht geladen habt, werden rot dargestellt, auch wenn ihr näher zoomt werden bereits geladene Teile wieder rot, Grund sind die fehlenden Informationen der genaueren Auflösung.

there are usualy two com ports for bluetooth. one is used to connect your computej to gps device ot other devices. but you have to use the second one. for incomming connection. from mobile to your pc. check your bluetooth settings for the second port.
proxy host and port is optional. check your browser settings, if you use dorect connection or if you go through some proxy server.

yes you are right. But sometimes that port is not configured and that creates problem. You can easily get it confired through the software coming along with mobile or through AT commands. For details check out 70-294, 70-526 or 70-290.
