Feature Suggestions

Some more user flriendlyness ?

Hi again,

Generally, why can't we navigate between menus entries with the left/right buttons (or the joystick) instead of always having to come back in the menu ?

- In the main screen, while traveling, I'd like to be able to hit one key and be prompted for a new landmark name. Upon confirmation, this would be added to the landmark list (coordinates saved at hit time, not after confirmation)

- The 'Position screen' deserves some formatting for better readability. Some space between labels and related infos would be just fine. Right justification of the infos, even better.

Distance and Direction infos in the Landmarks List ??

It'd be great to have that information in regard of each landmark in the list.

Also have the possibility to sort the list by 'distance' from current position.

Thx.

Nokia maps compatibility

Hi ,
Since nokia maps are downloadable for free, it would be really good that navigami could use them.
Thanks

Aviation features

I would like to use Navigami in the air. I have two suggestions to make Navigami more useful for pilots. Implementing these features may be popular with others also.

(1) The information I would like to see, all on one screen, is:

Track (the course actually being followed),
Heading (the heading to the currently selected waypoint),
Distance to waypoint (in nautical miles - used almost universally in aviation)
Waypoint (the name of the selected waypoint),
Speed (in knots),
Altitude (in feet - still used almost universally in aviation),

FoxyTag

Hi,

What about a collaboration with FoxyTag, a free, legal and collaborative system to signal speed cameras on mobile phones ? Its public API allows a third party to connect to it (see http://www.speedcams.se or http://www.trackertag.nl).

The main difference with the competition is that it is a collaborative system (the users are posting the tags over the speed cameras) and it is a trust engine that guaranty the quality of the data (it is a self-managed system).

Regards,

want to download the maps from my pc (becuase mobile internet is very expensive here)

I don`t have bluetooth, only data cable. The price for internet at home is ok, but mobile internet is extreme expensive.

1.) Please add a feature so I can download maps from my pc and then copy them to the phone or explain how to do this.

2.) Maybe port this program so we can run it from normal java platform (pc) also (download fresh maps then copy to phone)?

Touchscreen phone compatibality

Phones that do not incorporate physical buttons such as the LG Prada need a method of menu navigation / main screen navigation.

Last know position / navigami position

Menu-Position:

Last know position
(Gps data)
..
..
Navigami position
(with filtred data, valid for cursor)
..
..
Could be showed both positions at the same screen

Please move yourself

In case of not moving or "Smoothing/min Speed" activated, I think sould be showed a message at the compass/navigami...

"Please move to accurate compass"

or something like this... because when we stoped and rotate our selfs, the North won´t be valid... (spite the compass shows the "North" of our last move...) and i think you don´t want navigami giving wrong directions ;)

And what about a radar scanning signal

And what about a scanning radar signal? At the Satellites screen, every second a bar scans the sky
